Concert with works by Karólína Eiríksdóttir on Saturday February 25th at 4 pm in the Culture House.
Various works which were written for mezzo-soprano Ásgerdur Júníusdóttir, a longtime collaborator with Karólína. Performers alongside Ásgerdur are Tinna Thorsteinsdóttir, piano, Gudrún Hrund Hardardóttir, viola and Matthías Nardeau, oboe. Composer Hjálmar H. Ragnarsson will lead a discussion with the composer. Two song cycles will have their Iceland premiere, written to poems by Sjón and Steinunn Sigurdardóttir.
