In a new mini-concert-series at Mengi the performance group Fengjastrútur will perform a few of the most important open scores of the 20th century along with several new works by Icelandic composers.
At a concert on Sunday, March 20 at 9pm – The composers presented all have in common that they have worked together with Fengjastrútur on their works. On the program are some older works: Stones by Christian Wolff, Rock Piece by Pauline Oliveros, Opera with Objects by Alvin Lucier, in memoriam … ESTEBAN GOMEZ by Robert Ashley. Also premieres by two of the group´s members: mars by Gunnar Grímsson and 235° by Áki Ásgeirsson.
